STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Adopt a Resolution Authorizing the City to Apply to and Participate in the State of California's Prohousing Designation Program.
The City of Sunnyvale has adopted many policies that increase housing production. The City continues to incentivize housing production with proposed policies and planning initiatives. Based on a preliminary application and meeting with HCD, the City is eligible for Prohousing Designation. The Prohousing Designation Program would reward the City with a competitive advantage in many state grant programs, which will support affordable housing and infrastructure projects and benefit the City for years to come.
