Report

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION

Appointments to the ICO Committee are made by the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors (Board of Supervisors). The Cities Association nominates one board member to serve as the Cities Association Representative.

In February 2017, Councilmember Hendricks was appointed to the ICO Committee by the Board of Supervisors as the Cities Association Representative for a two-year term expiring in February 2019. He continues to serve in expired status as allowed by the ICO Committee bylaws.

On June 13, 2019, the Cities Association City Selection Committee nominated Councilmember Hendricks for re-appointment to the ICO Committee, to be appointed by the Board of Supervisors for a three-year term ending in June 2022.

As of the date of this report, the Board of Supervisors has received notification of the Cities Association nomination of Councilmember Hendricks. Due to their July recess, the Board of Supervisors may not schedule the official appointment until August.
