BACKGROUND
This agenda item was scheduled for the October 24, 2023 Council Meeting (RTC No. 23-0747) but was not heard by Council at that time.

SUMMARY OF COMMISSION ACTION
The Arts Commission considered this item on September 20, 2023.

The Arts Commission voted to approve Alternative 1: Recommend Council Approve Art in Private Development Project - Hunter Properties/Cityline, titled Dropping the Ball (Phase 2, Artwork 2 of 4). The vote was 5-0.

PUBLIC CONTACT
Public contact was made by posting the Council meeting agenda on the City's official-notice bulletin board at City Hall, at the Sunnyvale Public Library and in the Department of Public Safety Lobby. In addition, the agenda and this report are available at the NOVA Workforce Services reception desk located on the first floor of City Hall at 456 W. Olive Avenue (during normal business hours), and on the City's website.

2. Do not approve the artwork as proposed.

Staff concludes that the artwork is consistent with the criteria for Art in Private Development requirements.
