Study Session Summary:
Economic Development Manager Connie Verceles provided an update on the regional efforts to reach $15 per hour minimum wage: the cities of Campbell, Gilroy, Los Gatos, Morgan Hill, and Saratoga have not adopted a $15 per hour minimum wage ordinance. The cities of Sunnyvale and Mountain View reached a $15 per hour minimum wage on January 1, 2018. The Cities of Cupertino, Los Altos, Palo Alto, San Jose and Santa Clara will reach a $15 per hour minimum wage on January 1, 2019. The City of Milpitas will reach $15 per hour by July 1, 2019.
