BACKGROUND
Description of Proposed Project
The project site is 2.17 acres in size and is currently vacant. The proposed project involves the construction of a new 52,394 square foot 4-story office/R&D building with one level of underground parking beneath the building and surface parking. The project will result in approximately 55% floor area ratio (FAR). Projects exceeding 35% FAR (or 45% with Green Building incentives) require Use Permit approval by the City Council. This application is a request for approximately 19,310 square feet above 35% FAR (about 10,000 square feet above 45% FAR).
