BACKGROUND
Council annually appoints representatives to serve on intergovernmental bodies and organizations to advance and advocate for Sunnyvale’s interests. Councilmembers fill most appointments, but they may choose to appoint a community member to represent Sunnyvale instead. One such community member appointment is Sunnyvale’s representative on the Advisory Council for Sourcewise (Sourcewise). Sourcewise is the Area Agency on Aging for Santa Clara County.

A description of the appointment duties and responsibilities is included as Attachment 1.

Pursuant to Council Policy 7.4.12, the appointing authority for this assignment resides with the Mayor. On June 25, 2024, Mayor Klein appointed community member Sandra DeLatuer to a 3-year term, beginning July 1, 2024, and expiring June 30, 2027.
