Implementation of California Assembly Bill 43 to Lower Speed Limits Adjacent to Parks in Sunnyvale
Align with California Assembly Bill 43, to set speed limits to 20 mph or lower on streets adjacent to parks in Sunnyvale to mitigate risks to pedestrians, cyclists, and vulnerable road users
This topic is not under the PRC purview. It should be addressed as part of Traffic engineering work. The appropriate commission to discuss with, would be the Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Commission. Or discuss with a City Council member.

Temporary Use Ice Skating Rink in Downtown Park
Convert a portion of a park near downtown into a temporary ice-skating rink during the winter season to enhance community engagement and downtown vibrancy
Under the signed development agreement between the City and CityLine developer, the developer is required to operate an ice rink or other mutually agreed-upon recreational activities for three winter seasons. Staff will begin discussions soon about the possibility of having an ice rink in the upcoming winter season.

Leverage street tree planning as a strategy to enhance traffic safety
