SUMMARY OF SUBCOMMITTEE ACTION
The Community Events and Neighborhood Grant Program Subcommittee considered this item on December 1, 2025, RTC 25-0593 (Attachment 1).
The Community Events and Neighborhood Grant Program Subcommittee voted to recommend that Council approve Alternative 1: Recommend funding levels outlined in the 2026 Recommended Funding Summary Tables (Attachment 2), with the note that the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce may reapply for a Community Event grant in the Spring 2026 application cycle. The motion passed by a 2-0 vote, with Members Cisneros and Srinivasan voting in favor and Chair Sell abstaining.

Public contact was made by posting the Council meeting agenda on the City's official-notice bulletin board at City Hall, at the Sunnyvale Public Library and in the Department of Public Safety Lobby. In addition, the agenda and this report are available at the City Hall reception desk located on the first floor of City Hall at 456 W. Olive Avenue (during normal business hours), and on the City's website.

Alternative 1: Approve funding levels outlined in the 2026 Recommended Funding Summary tables in Attachment 2 to the report.
JUSTIFICATION FOR RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommend approving grant applications with the funding amounts outlined in the 2026 Recommended Funding Summary tables. The total grant distribution amount would be $95,895.
