DISCUSSION
The proposed 2016 City Council Meeting Calendar is provided in Attachment 1 for Council review and approval.
The Meeting Calendar is a list of proposed Council Meeting dates for 2016 through February 2017 and does not include specific agenda items.
Agenda items will be added to the Tentative Council Meeting Agenda Council (TCMAC) as approved and scheduled by the Mayor, the City Manager, and/or the majority of Council. Study Issue items will be scheduled and added following Council’s January 29, 2016 Study/Budget Issues Workshop.
Looking ahead to early 2017, a two-day Council strategic workshop is proposed for January 2017. The expanded, two-day format will serve to help onboard new, and refresh existing, Councilmembers on the status of Council’s policy priorities, the City’s operational priorities and challenges, and provide a look-ahead to the annual study/budget issues workshop (tentatively scheduled in early February 2017).

Public contact was made by posting the Council agenda on the City's official-notice bulletin board outside City Hall, at the Sunnyvale Senior Center, Community Center and Department of Public Safety; and by making the agenda and report available at the Sunnyvale Public Library, the Office of the City Clerk and on the City's website.

Recommendation
Approve the proposed 2016 City Council Meeting dates through February 2017 as submitted.
