Approve the 2017 City Council Regular Meeting Calendar

DISCUSSION
Charter Section 608 states that the Council "shall hold regular meetings at least twice each month, at such times as...fixed by ordinance or resolution..." A Resolution establishing the Council's regular meeting schedule is provided in Attachment 1 for Council review and approval. Exhibit A of the Resolution is the proposed 2017 City Council Meeting Calendar, which specifies the dates of the Council's regular meetings for 2017 and through February 2018 and also includes potential dates for special meetings and notes City holidays.
Agenda items for the proposed regular meetings will be added to the Tentative Council Meeting Agenda Council (TCMAC) as approved and scheduled by the Mayor, the City Manager, and/or the majority of Council. Study Issue items will be scheduled and added following Council's February 17, 2017 Study/Budget Issues Workshop.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The action being considered does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15378(b)(5) in that it is a governmental, organizational or administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect changes in the environment.
PUBLIC CONTACT
Public contact was made by posting the Council agenda on the City's official-notice bulletin board outside City Hall, at the Sunnyvale Senior Center, Community Center and Department of Public Safety; and by making the agenda and report available at the Sunnyvale Public Library, the Office of the City Clerk and on the City's website.

Recommendation
Adopt a Resolution Establishing the 2017 City Council Regular Meeting Calendar through February 2018 as submitted.
