Vice Mayor Larsson called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.

Study Session Summary:
Nadine Levin, Consultant with Municipal Resource Group (MRG), provided background on the evaluation process to the City Council. She stated that she was selected to assist the City Council in reviews of their appointees. MRG was selected in 2015 to facilitate the evaluation process.
Ms. Levin provided a handout that included the evaluation form used by the City Council. In addition, she reviewed the timeline for the evaluation process. The form is uploaded in survey monkey and distributed to all Councilmembers to individually complete the evaluation form. Ms. Levin will then meet with the Councilmembers individually to review their evaluation and then collectively as a group in closed session to review and modify the final evaluation document. After the evaluation is finalized, the City Council will meet with the appointee to review the annual evaluation.
Ms. Levin reviewed the evaluation process timeline:
May 14, 2017 Self-evaluation is completed and provided to Councilmembers
May 15-23, 2017 Survey monkey will be open to Councilmembers
May 24-26, 2017 Individual meeting with Councilmember and Ms. Levin
June 6, 2017 Closed Session meeting to review evaluation with City Council
June 12, 2017 Consultant finalizes evaluation report and submits to Council
June 20, 2017 City Council meets with appointee
Councilmember Klein requested that Ms. Levin send out reminders two days before the due date to her for the evaluation, in addition to requesting confirmations from Councilmembers to verify that they have received her email communication.
