Letters on Immigration Enforcement Issues (Information Only)

At the March 2017 Housing and Human Services Commission meeting, there was discussion about safe cities and local immigration enforcement as a topic for a potential study issue. The Commission accepted a staff suggestion that staff return with additional information and analysis.
The City Manager has directed that the two attached letters be shared with the Housing and Human Services Commission. These letters reflect the City’s stated position on law enforcement operational issues, which are not subject to the purview of this commission.
