SUMMARY OF COMMISSION ACTION

The Sustainability Commission considered this item on May 15, 2017.

 

The Sustainability Commission voted to approve a recommendation that the City Council find that the action is exempt from CEQA and approve the Green Infrastructure Plan Framework as presented by staff. The vote was 5-0, with Commissioner Zornetzer absent.

 

The Sustainability Commission discussed the scope of the Green Infrastructure Plan, asked clarifying questions, and expressed support for the effort.

 

PUBLIC CONTACT

Public contact was made by posting the Council agenda on the City's official-notice bulletin board outside City Hall, at the Sunnyvale Senior Center, Community Center and Department of Public Safety; and by making the agenda and report available at the Sunnyvale Public Library, the Office of the City Clerk and on the City's website.

 

ALTERNATIVES

1.                     Find that the Action is Exempt from CEQA and Approve the Green Infrastructure Plan Framework as presented by staff.

2.                     Do not approve the Green Infrastructure Plan Framework.

3.                     Other action as determined by the City Council.

Alternative 1: Find that the Action is Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15308 and Approve the Green Infrastructure Plan Framework as presented by staff.
