REPORT TO COUNCIL
SUBJECT
Title
Approve Draft 2019 Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Action Plan
Report
SUMMARY OF COMMISSION ACTION
The Housing and Human Services Commission (HHSC) made recommendations on FY 2019/20 Human Services Grants and CDBG Capital Project Loans proposals (incorporated into the 2019 HUD Action Plan) at their meeting of April 3, 2019 (see Report to Housing and Human Services Commission 19-0363 in Attachment 5 and final minutes of that meeting in Attachment 3).

The HHSC considered the full 2019 HUD Action Plan on April 17, 2019 and voted to recommend approval of the draft 2019 Action Plan as shown in Attachment 2. The vote was 4-0, with Chair Gilbert and Commissioner Grossman absent. See Attachment 6 for an excerpt of the draft minutes of the April 17, 2019 HHSC meeting.

Please note that the 2019 HUD Funding Allocations were received by the City on April 23, 2019. The 2019 Action Plan, Attachment 2, has been updated to reflect Sunnyvale's actual allocation amounts instead of estimates. Any funding modifications were made consistent with direction from the HHSC.

Notice of public hearings, including the 30-day public comment and review period, was posted at City Hall and published in the Sunnyvale Sun newspaper on April 5, 2019.
