The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission considered this item on August 20, 2020.
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission voted to approve Alternative 1: Recommend to City Council to Adopt the Roadway Safety Plan.
The vote was 7-0.

Public contact was made by posting the Council agenda on the City’s official-notice bulletin board outside City Hall, Sunnyvale Public Library and Department of Public Safety. In addition, the agenda and report are available at the Office of the City Clerk and on the City’s website.

RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation
Alternative 1: Adopt the Roadway Safety Plan.
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission voted unanimously for Alternative 1: Recommend to City Council to adopt the Roadway Safety Plan.
City staff’s recommendation is Alternative 1: Adopt the Roadway Safety Plan. The Roadway Safety Plan will satisfy the requirements of the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Cycle 11 Call-for-projects to be released approximately April 2022. The plan will allow the City to be eligible to apply for federal HSIP funds.
