Title
Redistricting Commission Interviews
Report
BACKGROUND
At its April 6, 2021 Council meeting, the City Council adopted Ordinance 3174-21 establishing a public process for redistricting. This public process includes a Redistricting Commission comprised of Sunnyvale residents selected through an open application process that generally aligns with the city council policy for selecting members of other boards and commissions with a few exceptions (see Attachment 1). The application deadline for the Redistricting Commission was June 1, 2021. The deadline serves as a cutoff point to allow time to review applicant eligibility and to schedule interviews.
