Provide Input for Annual Boards and Commissions Study
Session
Commissioners engaged with staff in a discussion about providing input on the
study issue process for boards and commissions.
The commissioners identified main takeaways for the chair and vice chair to present
at the City Council meeting anticipated in November. Its valuable for commissioners
to have opportunities to provide input to Council Members on policies that are
important to the public.
Additionally, commissioners expressed interest in holding Parks and Recreation
meetings on-site at City parks. Some commissioners noted that they would
appreciate meetings that are less frequent, but longer and with a more robust
agenda. Other commissioners countered, that it is more valuable to hold monthly
meetings.
