Selection of Chair  
Nominations were opened for Chair. Councilmember Sell nominated Councilmember  
Srinivasan. No further nominations were presented.  
Councilmember Srinivasan opened the public hearing, and there being no public  
testimony, closed the public hearing

Review and Approve the Community Events and  
Neighborhood Grant Program Materials for Calendar Year  
2025 and Authorize Staff to Initiate the Application Process  
Youth and Family Resources Manager, Angela Chan, provided a presentation on  
the Community Events and Neighborhood Grant Program. Highlights included: 2024  
grant cycle recap, 2025 grant application process, funding splits, funding caps,  
tiered funding levels, and next steps.  
Subcommittee members discussed and provided guidance on next steps:  
For neighborhood grants, allocate $10K of additional funding, select option A for  
funding splits, incorporating above/below 250 household tiers for neighborhood  
association funding thresholds, and update grant applications to include language  
for multiple events. For Community Events, have funding caps remain the same as  
previous years. The 2025 allocation of $48,000 will be divided evenly between the 2  
programs, $24,000 for Neighborhood Grants and $24,000 for Community Events.  
Councilmember Sell moved and Counciilmember Srinivasan seconded the motion to  
approve the Community Events and Neighborhood Grant Program materials for  
calendar year 2025 and authorize staff to initiate the application process.
