Chair Juttukonda called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.

Senior Services  
Jason Martin, Librarian, presented on Senior Services at the library. Highlights  
included: Demographics; Goals; Collections; Cultural, Community Building, and  
Educational Programs; Homebound Delivery; and Services.

Branch Library Update  
Garrett Kuramoto, Deputy Director of Library Services gave the board an update on  
the Lakewood Branch Library. Highlights included: concept, milestones,  
construction progress, and schedule/timeline.

None.

Vice Chair Hu moved and Board Member Hod seconded the motion to approve  
the Consent Calendar. The motion carried by the following vote:

Approve the Board of Library Trustees Meeting Minutes of November 3, 2025 as  
submitted.  
NON-AGENDA ITEMS AND COMMENTS  
-Board Member Comments  
Board Members asked about the Council approved 5 million in funding for the library  
and the Council Strategic Planning Project: Expansion and Urgent Modernization of  
Library Services to include: renovation of restrooms at the main library, and  
planning and design of additional library space.  
-Staff Comments  
Garrett Kuramoto spoke about the Winter Reading Program and upcoming kickoffs  
to Lunar New Year and Silicon Valley Reads programs.  
Michelle Perera, Director of Library and Recreation Services, also highlighted the  
Virtual Author Talk with Liz Moore to discuss her latest work, “The God of the  
Woods”.
