CALL TO ORDER  
Chair Veith called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Chair Veith led the salute to the United States flag.

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS  
Chair Veith announced that the Human Relations Commission is hosting a free  
Allyship Community Event, Allies in Training: Building a Better Community. The  
training is taking place on Friday, June 13th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., in a hybrid  
format, both in-person at City Hall and virtually via Zoom.  
PUBLIC HEARINGS/GENERAL BUSINESS  
Review and Recommend Council Approve Recommended  
Budget  
Director of Finance, Matthew Paulin, and Assistant Director of Finance, Dennis Jaw,  
provided a presentation on the recommended budget. Highlights included: legal  
framework, community values, budget approval process, budget summaries,  
city-wide revenues, reserve balances, park dedication fund, golf and tennis  
operations fund, and the parks and recreation projects.  
Chair Veith opened public comment.  
Emilie Danna, spoke about the popularity of pickleball and thanked staff for adding  
designated funds for pickleball to the proposed budget.  
Chair Veith closed public comment.  
Commissioners asked questions about the proposed budget and staff responded.  
Chair Kesting moved and Commissioner Bremond seconded the motion to  
Recommend Council Approve the Recommended Budget.  
The motion carried by the following vote:

-Commissioner Comments  
Chair Kesting, from the Parks and Recreation Commission, noted that he  
appreciates Plaza Del Sol and the updated playground at Washington Park.  
-Staff Comments  
Trenton Hill, Recreation Services Manager, thanked the Arts Commissioners for  
their service at the Hands on the Arts event. Additionally, Trenton announced that  
all of the Suns of Sunnyvale have been installed.
