Chair Juttukonda called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Garrett Kuramoto, Deputy Director of Library Services, presented the board with the  
Annual Library Statistics and Trends. Highlights included: visitor counts, circulation  
statistics, top 10's, program participation, and Summer Reading highlights.

Vice Chair Hu moved and Board Member Lam seconded the motion to approve  
the Consent Calendar. The motion carried by the following vote:

Discussion and Possible Recommendation of one Council  
Priority Project Idea to the City Council  
Board Members discussed recommending to Council a Council Priority Project.  
Chair Juttukonda opened public comment, and there being no speakers, closed  
public comment.  
Board Member Hu moved and Board Member Hod seconded the motion to  
recommend the following Council Priority Project:  
Expansion and Urgent Modernization of Library Services to include: renovation of  
restrooms at the main library, and planning and design of additional library space.

Garrett Kuramoto spoke about:  
-December's Board of Library Trustees Meeting will be canceled.  
-Library's event calendar is having tech issues. You can see events, but you aren't  
able to click the links. A PDF of events is on the library's home page and the links  
are working.  
-There are lots of November programs and events, including Native American  
Heritage Month.
