George Schroeder, Zoning Administrator, called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.  
CALL TO ORDER  
PUBLIC HEARINGS  
Proposed Project:  
SPECIAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT: to allow a recreational  
and athletic facility use (padel ball) in the Moffett Park Specific  
Plan area.  
Location: 1365 Geneva Drive (APN: 110-33-028)  
File #: PLNG-2024-0763  
Zoning: MP-MU (Moffett Park Specific Plan - Mixed Use)  
Applicant / Owner: Bay Padel (applicant) / Google LLC (owner)  
Environmental Review: Class 1 Categorical Exemption relieves this  
project from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) provisions.  
Project Planner: Momo Ishijima, 408-730-7532,  
Mr. Schroeder inquired with Momoko Ishijima, Project Planner, if there were any  
additions to the staff report.  
Ms. Ishijima had no updates or additional comments and received no comments  
from the public.  
Mr. Schroeder inquired with the applicant if they had any updates or comments.  
Poko Klein, applicant, inquired about condition of approval:  
BP-8. MECHANICAL/ROOF EQUIPMENT:  
Detailed plans showing the locations of individual exterior mechanical  
equipment/air conditioning units shall be submitted and subject to review and  
approval by the Director of Community Development prior to issuance of building  
permits. Proposed locations shall have minimal visual and minimal noise impacts to  
neighbors and ensure adequate usable open space. Individual exterior mechanical  
equipment/air conditioning units shall be screened with architecture or landscaping  
features. [COA] [PLANNING]  
Ms. Klein inquired if mechanical work was required for this project.  
Ms. Ishijima stated mechanical work is not required for this project and this condition  
of approval may be disregarded unless future work on the roof is required in the  
future.  
Ms. Klein inquired if anything beside paint colors was required for submittal in  
regards to tenant improvement.  
Ms. Ishijima stated if no exterior work is going to be done, it would not be a  
requirement. She noted if a paint color that is drastically different than the existing  
color would be proposed, a staff-level approval permit would be required.  
Matias Gandulfo, applicant, stated there were no plans to change the exterior.  
Mr. Schroeder opened the hearing to public comments.  
No members of the public wished to speak on this item.  
Mr. Schroeder closed the hearing to public comments.  
ACTION: Alternative 1. Approve the Special Development Permit with recommended  
Findings in Attachment 2 and recommended Conditions in Attachment 3.  
ADJOURNMENT  
Mr. Schroeder adjourned the hearing at 3:07 p.m.
