CALL TO ORDER  
Because of the COVID-19 emergency and the health orders issued by Santa Clara  
County and the State of California, this meeting of the Sunnyvale Arts Commission  
will take place by teleconference, as allowed by Government Code Subdivision  
54953(e) and Resolution No. 1089-21 (reaffirmed December 13, 2022).  
Chair Eskridge called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. via teleconference.

PRESENTATION  
A
Hands on the Arts Festival (Scope)  
Recreation Services Coordinator, Kristin Dance, provided a presentation on the  
Hands on the Arts Festival to scope ideas. Highlights included previous years  
projects and listed ideas for consideration.  
Commissioners inquired and staff responded:  
When is the Hands on the Art Festival this year? It will take place on Saturday, May  
13, 2023.  
What is the supply budget for our project? $250  
Can staff provide a general inventory of our current supplies? Yes, staff will email a  
list to the Commission.  
Kristin asked the Commission to email her project ideas by Friday, January 27. She  
will follow up at an upcoming meeting regarding the feasibility and scope of each  
idea.

Commissioners collectively discussed the study issue CDD 23-04.  
Staff conducted a random voice vote. See the study issue ranking results below:  
1. CDD 23-04 Explore Expanding Sunnyvale Municipal Code Chapter 19.52 (Art in  
Private Development) to Include a Public Art Requirement for High Density  
Residential Developments (Including Affordable Housing)  
Commissioner Veith moved and Commissioner Filley seconded the motion to adopt
